No food is inherently healthy or unhealthy. It all is a matter of dosage and method of preparation.
If you eat a big bucket of fried chicken followed by a big plateful of rice crispy treats, I would personally consider that unhealthy. However, if you roast or steam a chicken breast and serve it with boiled or steamed rice and eat this as part of a balanced diet, you have a very healthy meal.
But if you want a general answer, yes, I think rice and chicken are healthy as far as foods go. Buy organic chicken, and fair traded, parboiled rice (parboiled means that the nutrients from the husk are preserved in the grain) and you are not only healthy, but also sensible.

NO!
Lol, firstly, the chicken is literally DRENCHED in oil. Though it's got lots of garlic paste and spices rubbed on the meat (you know, the benefits of garlic, etc etc), it's barely enough to make up for the amount of oil they slather onto the chicken.

The rice is another thing. It's smothered in oil. If you look at it carefully the next time you eat it, notice the rice usually doesn't really stick and it's always gleaming.
Gleaming with oil. Garlic oil, etc etc.

Even the gravy they put over the chicken has oil in it, lots of it, and I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't like 80% oil.
One plate of chicken rice has over 800 calories. Not that the locals really care, mind you. :)

Anyway, just enjoy the food once in a while, so long as you don't eat it like everyday it's fine.

The unhealthy part is the skin but it's also why people like chicken rice - it's smooth with the skin. If you're concern about health, don't eat "chicken rice" often because chicken fat is in the soups, the rice and of course the meat itself. If you insist, take only skinless white breast meat (least liked by most people). Roast pork, roast duck as well as chicken offals are also high-cholestrol food.

Yes, if you go for the steamed version and have it with plain rice. You might need an alternative form of fibre though, since cucumber which comes with chicken rice is not exactly a great source of fibre.

Rice is healthy, but with all the chemicals, drugs and steroids given to chickens today, you would be much healthier, not eating them.
I never eat anything, that ever had a face.

Yes chicken is good for health. There is no reason why its unhealthy. Just see that it is hygenic n properly washed before use.
