you have to tell him somehow, it depends how close you are, if your really close and can confront him do so as he needs to get checked out aswell, and any previous partners.
you can arrange for your gp to send an anonymous note to him if in UK, if your elsewhere im not sure if you can do this but then you could send him an anonymous note. start wearing condoms from now on if you continue to have sex. herpes is an std and if you have this condoms wont protect you as this can be all over the genital area, in which case when you can see or feel sores get a special herpes crem from your chemist and dont have sex for a few days, 3 of my friends have this and aparantly its very painful even to pee if you dont use creams. i think the cream is called aclicovir.
you need to find out exactly what stds you could have. these cannot be treated yet by the way, only the effects softened as with herprs.
hopefully if yu do have something it is just an sti which can be treated. although if you have stis for a long while it can cause fertility problrms and pelvic inflamatory disease, so this may be how you got pid. good luck.

You should definetly tell him! I am sure you care about this person enough to do that right? It may be hard to tell him, but sit him down and talk about this, if you are sexually active, then you should be responsible for consequences such as this, and you are not a child, so you should not hide it from him. He has a right to know, and I would also advise you that you both go and get tested. I wish I had the perfect words for you to say to him, but really there is no wrong way of telling someone this type of information. If he cares about you at all, he will listen and perhaps even try and help you. That is all, good luck! Take Care of yourself too!!

You simply MUST TELL HIM, he will also need to get on medications. If you don't tell him, you are playing with his health. Some STDs can have devestating results if they are not treated properly.

You have to tell him! And if you contracted PID recently then it's quite possible he gave it to you.

YES TELL HIM, it can possibly save you and him if it is bacterial (treat with antibiotics), if it's viral, it's with you for life (no joke)

HE may have given it to you. Yes, you need to tell him so he can't infect others.

That would be a good idea, if you have had sex with him. If you did, maybe you got it from him, hmmm?
