For the most part...nothing. I've read that 75%-80% of people will have HPV at some point in their lives. It is the most common STD in the world. Some kinds of HPV can lead to genital warts and cervical cancer though. My fiance and I both have HPV and we have unprotected sex. I have had genital warts and cervical cancer and he hasn't had either (well he can't get cervical cancer...but anyway). Really nothing is "going to happen". It really just depends on what kind you have, and if something develops like genital warts or cervical cancer, usually it is curable. I've been treated for genital warts and cervical cancer and neither has come back. Good luck!

Depends on the type of HPV they have. If its warts, then it could keep going back and forth between the partners if one person's clears up but the other person's didn't. Most types of HPV go away on their own, some lead to warts or cervical cancer.
Women should make sure they get regular pap smears if they have HPV, that way any precancerous cells can be treated and monitored. Other than discontinuing sex, there's really no way to prevent HPV since condoms don't protect against it. It can be transmitted by skin to skin contact in the overall genital area.
Both partners should remain monogamous in order prevent spreading HPV to others.

You should be ok. Once you have the virus and have an outbreak you have a 2/3 less chance of breaking out again. I hope this helps a little. Try going to WebMD and see what that gives you.

I wouldn't think anything would happen, as long as you both have been treated for any outbreaks. I don't think it would make it any worse, leaving it untreated would make it worse.
