No-fat cottage cheese has 15 grams of protein in a 1/2 cup serving. You should have 50 grams of protein a day, so this is a great way to get some protein in your diet. Yum.

Protein as is cannot be used by the body, it is broken down by the body into amino acids. All foods contain amino acids in varing combinations and amounts. Food stays in the stomach for up to 4-6 hours. Yesterdays meal is probably still in your intestines. So, amino acids eaten at one meal are available to mix in the intestines with amino acids from previous meals. protein amount, quality, or source is not the thing to worry about. Eat a varied diet consisting of FRESH and natural as possible foods and you will be strong and healthy.

Well if you're a vegetarian you need to be sure to eat a lot of peanuts and legumes. Dark leafy veggies are also a good source. If you aren't a vegetarian then any meat has a lot of protein.
