I like the pump action shotgun in 12 Gage, short barrel no choke. You don't have to be too accurate to hit the target and, I imagine, if faced with a Zombie you're not going to be thinking too straight. In addition, the pump is more reliable than a semi auto. If you're cool as a cucumber the Winchester lever action is nice but I'd rather a Marlin .450 - it'll stop a truck let alone a Zombie.

It depends very much on whether you are playing a video game or whether you are actually currently under siege by hostile zombies. If the former, it really depends which game it is.

If the latter, and you live near Bristol, UK, could you pop in a quick bit of extra info saying roughly where you are, how many zombies you think there are, and whether you think I could get to the M5 southbound real quick?

These zombies just keep coming. If they are the slow moving one you probably could use a pump action shot gun at close range to spatter the zombies head. However if they are the fast moving ones you may need a 30 mm machine gun mounted on a 360 degree swivel tripod using hollow point rounds to spatter the heads open.

Go kill one for me...

Of the two, you have to go for the shotgun, but you have to let them get close for full effect. The Winchester will just put holes in them but the pump will take them apart...

Come on. Obviously flamethrowers are the best for fighting zombies. They leave nothing to regenerate and no body parts to come after you.

nah a flame thrower is no good
takes to long to burn to ashes, especially with all that soggy zombie goo.
what you want is a nice package of weapons and people.
shotgun for up close, rifle for long range takedowns, some full auto for crowds,
pistols for backup and machete for emergencies.
oh and chainmail gloves are bite-proof

You asked in the 'Ettiquette' section. You want to do this politely? Try a Katana, zombies are slow. Take their heads. Be polite!.

Why don't you make them a cup of tea? If I were a zombie and somebody made me a cup of tea I'd be so happy I'd stop trying to eat you. (Especially with a choccie biccie!)
