They should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Those innocent little sprouts might have grown up to be productive citizens.

Yes I think they should............... vegetables have feelings too!!!
You may not hear them cry out as you get them out of the tin, but when you put them in the wok at the last minute by golly you can hear the screams!!!!
