Just wanted to see if anyone has any ideas about how to relieve some of the pain related with herpes 2. i'm currently have a prescription viral medication that i take when i get outbreaks, but was just wanting to see what other people were doing to help treat the symptoms. I have started soaking in epsom salt when i have an outbreak for like 20 mins before i go to bed (around 1/2 a cup to a full bath) and it seems to be helping quite a bit. Any other ideas?

When I have outbreaks I usually take a lot of baths. It's the only thing that really helps me. I also wear really loose pants, like some pj pants or something and some nice soft cotton under ware. I rest a lot too, and try not to do anything to physical. I know this isn't a great answer, but I don't think there is very much you can do. I know how you feel! Good luck!
