i have always noticed tht in films of kings, queens, princes ect. such as lady jane where edward refers to himself as we before janes mother and the servants during janes beating , edward refers to hiomself as WE. HE SAYS QUOTE " WE WISH TO SPEAK TO OUR COUSIN JANE ALONE!



i have seen this done by royalty before in books and movies. what is the significance of this phrase?

I know that the monarchy brings in tourist revenue and is a source of pride for some (but far from all) British people.

But the monarchy is phenomenally expensive to the British people and common wealth countries (Canada, Australia etc). And the royal family is little more than a plaything for the tabloids, and a source of entertainment for many others. Is there a point to maintaining the pampered posh lifestyle of the royal family by the taxpayers?

There are ads in this brochure and some pictures that are not in color. I can only find 1953 coronation, but this is 1937. There is not a picture on the outside only THE LONDON NEWS in print but inside are a lot of pictures of family and the queen's coronation back then. Is it worth anything anyone?
