in place of the incumbant Windsors.

They have a regal air to them. I think they would do a great job.

What's more, they would then be able to declare 3rd May (the day Maddy disappeared) a bank holiday ("day of Maddy") and we'd all get an extra day off work!

Some media reports have suggested Charles may take the name George VII on his accession to the throne as king, because of the negative connotations of the name with regard to Charles I (authoritarian) and Charles II (womaniser). Should he be King Charles or King George?

Why do people say that. You cant say that he wont be King, unless he gets a terminal disease. Its not like saying "David Cameron won't become Prime Minister". But I want to know people say it; is it because they think when EIIR dies Monarchy won't continue (but of course it will continue by Constitutional Law it will). So why?

When Windsor Castle was damged by fire, the tax payer had to foot the bill as the building was uninsured. Do you think that the monarchy should should take out personal insurance cover for all of their properties, or do you think that UK tax payers should be responsible.

None of us is getting any younger and, having recently been chastised for speaking ill of the dead by telling a few home truths about the late Lady Diana Spencer, I'd like to balance the account with a comment or two about her mother-in-law.
There is however, nothing bad I can find to say about this lady.
She has, from the very beginning of her illustrious reign, behaved in perfect accord with the dignity of her office, while all around her others have let the side down in various ways.
She even survived the appalling situation created by Lady Diana's popularity with the unthinking masses, which obliged her to engage in ridiculous "walkabouts" outside the palace.
Her steadfastly dignified behaviour has been a credit to Great Britain, the British Commonwealth and the concept of monarchy itself. God save Your Majesty!

Okay I've heard that Queen Elizabeth of Great Britain does not require a passport so does that mean other people in family are or aren't required to have one, or other monarchs in other countries aren't required to have one?

Here is the link to the speech http://www.nationalcenter.org/ElizabethITilbury.html

I understand what she was trying to say and the point she was getting across.

My question, however, is what exact resources of language does she use? (Diction, imagery, sentence structure, etc)

Also, why does she say the speech the way she does? Why does she use the resources of language the way she does?

Yes, this is for an essay in school, but I honestly have no idea what exact literary techniques she uses, and why she uses them.

Thank you so much for your help!!
