Through the internet, I've recently begun hearing quite a bit about the television series from the early 90s called Twin Peaks, which was created by the master surrealist filmmaker David Lynch. I love Lynch's work, the idea (a surreal soap opera and murder mystery) sounds fascinating, and many reviews that I have read have claimed that this is "art combined with television," which is really what I look for in a TV series.
However, this was before my time so I've never seen it, and due to the unconventional nature of the show and also some legal issues, buying all of the two seasons and the pilot can be difficult and quite expensive. I am wondering if it is worth it. Does anybody have some insight into the matter?
