MY LUCKY DIME
I walked in a store,
With my lucky dime,
When I saw on the floor,
A twenty, that's now mine.
I carried it in my pocket,
In my faded jeans,
Whenever I played cards,
I would always win with queens.
One day, I was walking,
It was cold, so I shivered,
When my dime fell out from shaking,
It plopped into a river.
My luck was lost,
Forever it was gone,
I couldn't sleep that night,
With my eyes open until dawn.
I couldn't find any money,
I lost at every game,
Without my lucky dime,
My luck was never the same.
