I was recently in a mall and was observing the younger people (teens). It was obvious that most of them associated with members of their own race...black with black, white with white, hispanic with hispanic...and so on. Maybe in a work enviroment, adults are forced to get along with other races to accomplish a job, but what about teens? If the schools don't have forced integration, then isn't it completely voluntary for young people to develop friendships with those of other races. So, why don't they?
