It seems Bush is trying to get another 245 billions for the war. I would think that's a waste of money. What about you guys?

I am considering taking a vow of silence both for myself but also for Free The Children. They are an organization that help children in Africa and elsewhere without schools, money, family, etc. I want to do this for 1 month (month of March since in March the telephone was invented: communication) But I also want to do this for myself, I have always been very open minded and self centered, which some people say is not possible for a 14 year old... I just want some insight on this because I was thinking of going to a silent buddhist retreat, but I am still in high school.

My new manager has come up with a paper for my department to sign.He says that he can switch our days,shifts or weekends as he wishes.If we refuse to sign and agree to this,he can terminate our employment..Some of us have kids and day care isn't open at night and days are all some can work.So, how can he do this? no other department is doing this.Need feed back from employers/HR reps out there.Thanks!
