I think Gordon should give me a job as Scottish advisor to his bitontheside! Not Scottish, we are THE SCOTS! And not all of us have a good accent although any land with Brummie as a dialect has no argument. I personally LOVE a man with a Scots East Coast accent, Aberdeen, Peterhead, Edinburgh and of course FIFE! The accent combined with dry wit gets me going every time!!!

By itself the English accent is considered by some to be either classy, undereducated from the country or Cockney.

However: when the Brittish teach others how to speak English, the transformation can be remarkable:
East Indian sounds absolutely lovely.
Italian is even more sublime.
But what if you were taught English by a Japanese? What would THAT sound like?
Or English taught to a Cuban by the French?
Have you heard a Scotsman Spanish mix?
Or a Chinese person taught English by a Ugandan speaking with clicks and pops?
The list could go on and on . . .
