I think it was the one where the original actress had to face Freddy in the movie/reality world...did he die or he wasn't real...she was just in the movies all along?

It looks like it was set in the 1950's, andthe movie first appears in black and white. Then slowly, people notice that they and things around them are starting to have colors.

In one scene, a teen tries to help his mom, who suddenly has fair skin white skin, by turning her black and white again with black and white make up.Then in another scene, this guy goes to his friends at the bowling alley crying and upset because his wife didnt make him dinner (pathetic, isnt it?). Anyway, the movie ends in a crowd, this time, the whole movie is in color.

It's a very small moment, and not many people notice it.

It comes when Michaels father is in the hospital, and the bodyguards have been paid off to leave him helpless. Michael knows that men are coming to kill his father.

Enzo the baker comes to the hospital at this time, and Michael and Enzo have to go out in front of the hospital to pretend to be the bodyguards, even though they are both unarmed.

A car with the assassins drives up, and after a tense staredown, decide to do it another time.

Afterwards, Enzo tries to light a cigarette, but his hands are shaking too badly. Michael grabs the lighter, lights it for him, then stares at his own hands, almost shocked that they aren't shaking at all. It his in this moment that he realizes his destiny lies with the mafia.
Like I said, it's a small moment, only a cuople of seconds long, but wow!

When I was a kid I saw this movie and it really freaked me out. I wouldn't sleep along for months and it eventually led to me and my sister sharing a room. It was REALLY scary! Help me find out what this movie was...

Basic plot:
This movie seemed older. A group of guys are partying with a girl. In the dancing and drinking he hits her head and they think she is dead. To cover up the death they put her in her car and push it into a lake. As the car is sinking the girl pops up in the window...but they don't help her...she drowns and dies. Now in the future she comes back from the grave and seeks revenge on all these men.

I swear she was going to get me too! I think this was on PBS...but it was a long time ago.

When I was a kid I saw this movie (or TV show) that really scared me. I don't remember what it was only parts of the movie. I have searched all over the internet with no luck. Here is what I remember:

A man and his wife are digging a whole. Possibly in the desert and maybe for a water well. Something happens that makes them think there is something living down in the hole. So they send down a light but can't see anything. When they bring the light backup it is broken. So they send down a bunch of flashlights those too get smashed. Next they send down a plate of meat (possibly a turkey or ham), when they bring it back up the plate is covered in jewels/gold/etc! Now the guy gets excited and decides he wants to go down there. So the wife lowers him down. When she brings him back up he was eaten and his clothes are full of jewels/gold/etc! Does this ring a bell with anyone?

What movie had a woman walking down stairs with the song Smoke Gets in Your Eyes by the Platters?

I saw this movie years ago, and I can't remember what it was called. I think it had something to do with the military. I remember that at the end it was the girl's birthday and a guy gives her a clothing box. I'm not sure how, but the box ends up across the room and she realizes it is a beautiful dress and shoes. Then she goes to change and when he sees her walking back down the stairs, Smoke Gets In Your Eyes is playing. Does anyone know what this movie is?

After listening to a radio ad for the new violent horror film, "The Hitcher," followed by an ad from the same movie company inviting people to enter a contest to be "killed" on film, I was struck once again by the utter stupidity of our entire media culture. Films depicting sex - at least an act of life rather than death - have their own special rating, as though it is worse to have sex with someone than to torture and chop him or her up for no reason. But films full of blood and gore, torture and murder and hate _for fun_, that glamorize sick, gruesome violence for amusement - not even to make a political or artistic statement - are only rated R. They're regular movie-theatre fare (even for young kids accompanied by adults). It is utterly absurd to me that our culture is so terrified of sex we would rather ostracize _it_ than bloody murder. Agreement, dissent, comments, opinions?
