If you,,, or anyone saw todays episode of DOPE-RA you would have heard that marriage is a bad thing. I personally don't think so, but it has its down sides as much as its UPS. Through this medium,,, Not very much is a GOOD thing without further research. I will anaologize, though you may not be at all familiar. Long ago, the Rolling Stones did a song. You can't always get what you want,,, But if you try, Sometimes, you get what you need." Rev. Steven

I absolutely think it is possible, and this coming from someone who was very against it a few years ago. However, I know a couple of people who are happily married to people they met online, and I myself am in a relationship with someone I met online- have been for over 2 years and we plan on getting married. I couldn't be happier in a relationship than I am now. I don't believe it matters where or how you met someone. If two people love each other and are willing to work hard at the commitment marriage sets forth, then I think it is possible and should be blessed.

Good luck!

I know a person who had two previous marriages through internet meetings. Neither of them worked. Many people create an alternate personality over the internet because they don't have to have "face to face" contact and can easily misrepresent who and what they really are. Just be careful.

The love of my life is someone I met on-line By accident. Come to find out we where by passing each other for years. We talked on-line for a year before we met. We are NOW engaged to get married on 12/12/09 and have been together for almost 2 yrs. So yes it is possible you just have to be carefull so that you don't find one of the freeks on-line.

Good Luck

Yea, i'm with Honeybee on that one. I do not regret any of the relationships (both platonic and intimate) that i've made over the internet....well...then again...there was that ONE time in band camp...but i digress...

However, i'm currently engaged to a wonderful man who i met over the phone actually...(well..a message board feature on our mutual phones). It started out innocent enough. i was bored one night and couldn't sleep and was checking out all the features my phone had...EONS after i bought it mind you.. had i known he was there.. i woulda checked it out day ONE!!!...Anyhoo.... i met him that night along with a few others. He's still here..the rest are gone..and here we are a year and some change later and we're jumping the broom. His family is beautiful. His friends couldn't be better. I couldn't be happier.
