I think so. Mostly everyone I know prays. I pray almost everynight for someone I hardly know who is going through a lot of problems right now. There is magic in prayer =)

But of course, sweet child of God,

I come to you Father of ALL Fathers, Bringing this, your child to you. Oh God, I don`t know the needs here, But You do. So I ask that you attend to those needs. Lord, Let this person come to know you in a real way. Lord guide and lead them in the way you would have them go. Oh God, We thank you. We honor you. Lord you are awesome and mighty. Nothing can stand before you. Oh God, May your will be done. Lord let your light shine out from this person so brightly that the world will know you are abiding in them.. Oh God we thank you for the miracles you will do and for those to come. We ask that you forgive us and help us to forgive others. We come to you in your beloved Jesus name. Amen and Amen

People being people, some are sincere and some are not. Those who are sincere may very well remember you in their prayers.

Do prayers make a difference in outcomes? At Harvard, they did a study in which matched patients in two had people praying for them in one group and people not praying for them in the second group. Those prayed for were people with serious illnesses, and there were no differences in outcomes between the two groups. In other words, it didn't make any difference in a controlled experiment whether people prayed for them or not!

If that proves true in additional studies, then maybe it doesn't really matter whether they pray for you or not! Maybe the truth lies in the old saying that the Lord helps those who help themselves!
