It's an amazing multi-function organ. It keeps us together, regulates our body temperature, and is our first line of defense against disease. It's an incredible sensory organ too. We'll also learn about acne and the hazards of tanning, and explore how we can all learn to love the skin we're in!.

Sunless tanners take advantage of a browning chemical reaction between your skin proteins and a compound called DHA (Dihydroxyacetone). It’s actually pretty neat now that they’ve figured out how to make it look brown instead of orange. Sunless tanning is much safer than the real thing.

Safety of mist tanning
Unfortunately, the safety of DHA has only been verified for external use. That means it’s perfectly safe for putting on your skin but it hasn’t been proven safe inside your body (e.g. in your lungs).

I've been tanning for about 5 years now and I stay for 20mins each session. It depends on your skin, if you have fare skin you won't start out staying 20mins. Make sure you build a tan not "burn" a tan, burning is not a safe way to tan. I tan nude but you can wear a swim suit or whatever you feel comfortable with. I spend $40a month for a 30day unlimited and you can only go "once" a day! You shouldn't turn orange, i've never had that happen. Yes i bring my Ipod, it is a MUST lol. If you wear contacts you are supposed to remove them before you tan but its all up to you. Thats pretty much it. Oh yeah and you can bring lotion to help build a better tan!

The tanning salon people will help you, they will tell you how long you have to stay there, you can wear a swim suit, or go naked. Prices vary they have packages you can buy or you can just keep going and paying every time you go. I think you can bring your I-pod.
Tanning lotion helps too they sell it there, it's only tanning bed lotion.
The tanning salon people will assist you with any questions and concerns you may have. Tell them that you are tanning for your first time and they will help you from there!
I hate tanning beds though. I prefer to tan in the sun...Iol...that's just me though everyone is different!

k your supposed to only go like once a week but going 3 times a week is fine. you lay naked in the tanning bed or else youll get bad tan lines. no you wont get orange mabye a lil red form being flushed but don worry that fades in a few mins. yes you can bring your ipod but they do have music in the rooms. for your first time go for like ten mins unless you are naturally tan then go for the full it works better. it costs about 9 bucks for a cheap bed and 18 bucks for the next one up. then 25 then 30 and so on. wear the eye cover they give you or else you can get pink eye or eye cancer or something. if you burn easy wear tanning oil. some beds even have lil misters that mist you every time it gets too hot. go wit a friend its more fun. and haveee fun. :]

Why do you want to brown your fair skin? Love the skin you're in.

If you somehow see it as a weakness, consider bronzing lotions. Do not go to a tanning salon, though, as that will increase your risk of cancer and premature aging. In five years you can have crow's feet and wrinkles or you can have smooth skin. It's your choice.

why don't you call the tanning salon and they will answer all your questions.

different salons have different prices. depends if you use a bed (which there are many types) or spray on?
