This is a list of what I am thinking of selling...What do you think? What should I charge? Do you have anything to add? I can't sell beer sorry guys.

Boas
Wigs
Top Hats
Fuzzy Hats
Jester Hats
Tote Bags
Glow Sticks
(gloves, umbrellas --> if it rains)

I am looking for a few good items that I can make the most money with. any ideas will be helpful. I am going to be working mardi gras by myself and I don't have a car so really big items won't work for me.

Thank you for all of your help!!

I am trying to find things i can sell, that will be easy with a big return. I don't have enough space to keep the soft drinks or cotton candy and I think I would only make 1 dollar per sale net. It is not realistic for me.

boas are way over done in the gift shops
i would sell tote bags and glow sticks
you would do good selling titty beads they are beads with plastic womens breasts on them some even light up.
Those would be a good sell because everyone wants one and they are extremely hard to catch. you caould even charge double or triple the price you would pay for them and people would still sell well

I think you should sell soft drinks. I know from past Mardi Gras experiences that standing in the hot sun fighting for beads makes me thirsty.

go to the mardi gras store and get beads--the wacky kind, not the standard kind. i've seen people spend quite a bit on those. they have them with all kinds of crap on them--masks, great big beads, glow-in-the dark bead. all the beads you don't usually see thrown from floats. i can't remember the exact name of the store but it's like Mardi Gras World or something like that. there are a couple of them in the city

i have never nor would i ever buy anything from a street vendor at mardi gras... maybe because i'm not a "tourist" but that seems like the normal crap that gets sold. i guess t-shirts and mardi gras cups, not plastic beer cups but hurricaine cups.
