Ok my question is where from the Bible can you conclude to say, that God ok with today's thinking of "get saved and choose the church of your choice".
I mean you have where the Bible says one body, ok "one" body..... and for all of you who will bring up John. 15 where Jesus is talking about "you" being the vine...... you can't use that, because it mentions fruits, and if you have a grape vine, it will only produce grapes..... so therefore one vein will not produce many fruits.
An example..... for JW they believe that Jesus is a created being, I myself have taked the Bible to say that He is an eternal being, so therefore it is one book, we can not both be right
Anyways I would like to know your thinking on this.... thanks

Ok for any of you who use the fact that the Bible promotes denominations.... they wern't even around at that time so therefore could..... and also, you say any denomination is fine, well what about the many instences in the Bible where false doctrines are denounced..... only meaning, not everyones "views" can all be right.

And for the guy who said you can't know the truth for sure.... Jesus said... " I am the Truth and the Truth shall set you free" therefore assuring us that we are capable of knowing.

Jesus said "many will come in my name claiming I am he". Obviously there will be a lot of false churches out there. It is a Christians duty to search the scriptures to make sure the religion they are following follows the Bible as closely as is possible. Many people do not do this. They just stay with what they know and refuse to look into other possibilities and open their eyes to various views. The Bible also says to look for truth as if it were buried treasure. Would you refuse to look into a fringe Church just because someone told you the treasure wasn't there? Or would you look to see for yourself?

It is our duty as Christians to find the truth that was given in Jesus time. It has been corrupted by false teachings and it is time to open our minds and look for actual Biblical truth and reject that which is taught in contradiction to the BIble.

The road to life is the road of truth. Any other road leads away from the true God. Truth isn't what an individual wants to believe, it simply is what is. The desire not to acknowledge it is not unimportant, it is deadly dangerous.

Jesus said:

"...True worshipers will worship the Father with spirit and truth, for, indeed, the Father is looking for suchlike ones to worship him. God is a Spirit, and those worshiping him must worship with spirit and truth." --John 4:23,24

Please compare these Scriptures in your own Bible:

Colossians 1:15 http://watchtower.org/bible/col/chapter_001.htm?bk=col;chp=1;vs=15;citation#bk15

John 14:28 http://watchtower.org/bible/joh/chapter_014.htm?bk=joh;chp=14;vs=28;citation#bk28

John 20:17b http://watchtower.org/bible/joh/chapter_020.htm?bk=joh;chp=20;vs=17;citation#bk17

If God had died for humanity, we would be much more in debt that we were to begin with!

"...God’s household... is the congregation of [the] living God, a pillar and support of the truth." --1 Timothy 3:15

Jesus own words speak of his view of denominations.

38 ¶ And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us.
39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me.
40 For he that is not against us is on our part.
41 For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward.

I'm sorry, but I can't follow your thinking. I don't mean that as a criticism, but the way most people type on a computer frequently makes it hard to understand what they're trying to say.

I too believe that Jesus was, is and always will be. I don't believe JW consider themselves to be Christians, but I don't really know.

I'm Catholic, and we believe we're the true church, just as most other Christians believe they are. Catholicism has been around a long time, and though we've had our bad times (caused by fallible human beings within the Church), we're still here.

The Jews and the Muslims and everybody else believes they're right, too. I guess one day we'll all find out but until then, I'll be staying Catholic.

I enjoy going to church, and try to do it at least every week.

I wish denominations had never come to be, but because of the sin in this world, and the nature of humanity, I guess it was inevitable.

However, since I live in the real world, I have to choose a denomination to attend, if not to participate in. I am therefore careful about what denomination I choose, so as to get the least biased representation of God's word possible.

It helps that I read the bible on my own.

God is Unknowable.

As such, you can't be right. Not completely, at least, as you do not know the unkowable.

It's not that everyones right, it's that we all try our best to understand God, Jesus, Angels, Satan, and all that stuff, and hope we're right, and that if we're wrong we'll be forgiven.

Also, it's the idea of not judging others. Thus, we shouldn't be condemning other denominations; judgment is God's domain.

At least, that's all my view.

Denominations are man made entities that are usually brought about because of differences of doctrine and scripture interpretation. That is why you have so many different Baptists, Holiness, Presbyterians, Mennonites and so on...but the bible is ultimately our guide to anything that we do...it is profitable for instruction.

I don't believe in one word in english that comes out of the bible. It has been translated and changed over the centuries that anything it says now is so watered down or corrupt, it is totally worthless.

If you believe in the bible, thats all the proof you need. The whole racket works on unfounded faith.

Scripture must be interpreted in light of Sacred Tradition. The Catholic Church is the safeguard of Christ's teachings.
