The bible says throw your burdens on Jehovah and he himself will sustain you.
If your burdens get too heavy to pick up you are encouraged to roll them on Jehovah.
If you keep holding on to your problems after you have asked God to remove them from you, you are not giving God the credit to help you.
You have to let go of your problems and let God fix them.

Let go & let God, means because u have done all that u can do in a situation but nothing comes of it, let God handle it.
Let God be God in all ur problems, cast ur cares on Him, for He cares 4 u.

Former Christian Fundie here. It's very simple, it just means to stop trying so hard to make things work in your life and surrender your problems to God.
Yes, I know it sounds a little naive and even foolish, but if it makes them feel all warm and fuzzy inside, then who am I to complain?
