I would not be in a hurry to go down the cox2 inhibitors, ie Celebrex they have limited clinical justification over other tried and proven drugs and there is substantive evidence of severe (death) side effects. There are heaps of NSAID (no-steroid anti inflammatory drugs) some of those that are more effective (imo) also have side effects, such as heart concerns and stomach upset. I have been on Celebrex, Naproxen and Diclofenac. The last I found the best, but it has heart risks, so atm I am back on Naproxen slow release. I have severe joint damage, so am on high doses, hence I have to balance side effects with yet other drugs.
What that long answer is trying to say is be careful, seek medical advice, if the pain and swelling is not too severe there are plenty of creams and otc (over the counter) drugs which your pharmacist could advise your which are best in your situation.
Sorry you have the side effects from the accutane. Goodluck

My Dad has had trouble for years with pain in his lower back, knees an wrists and he has had a major reduction in his joint pain over the last year, using a nutritional program and supplements.
I also used to have moderate acne and since using the a similar program, my skin has cleared. I used to be so self-consious about it but now I have a lot more confidence and I feel great!

You can try a Cox-2 inhibitor like Celebrex. I'm getting arthritis and weight-induced pain, and I take curcumin (the stuff in curry) as this helps to reduce this type of pain (it's a mild cox-2 inhibitor). Also there are numbing gels like Biofreeze that help especially if you are running. I would suggest you do power walking instead of running, though. You are obviously stressing your body too much.

See a Doc asap. The problem 'might' be accutane, but their again it might NOT and you need to know, rather than guess. Good Luck
