You can use the site listed below in the source box. It allows you to check by month and year for those who died in Iraq.
However, if he was only injured there is no web site listing of those by name and rank. To do so would violate a Federal law, the Health Information Privacy Act or HIPA.

The Red Cross or VA MIGHT be able to help you but I doubt it. Other that that--don't know. Communication intoand out of Iraq could be unstable. Good Luck

Check out his heartbeat?

". . . and he told me he was on a mission a month ago and that many of them were injured or dead. . ."

they way this is wrote he told you after the mission was over!!

if he was well enough to tell you that then:

a. he was alive!

b. he was not wounded.

c. he was not dead.

d or he is pulling your chain getting off on the fact you will care more for him if you believe he is in danger!!

You need to contact his family and ask them. The military will not just tell you as you are not family.

Another option is to search his name and see if you see anything in his local papers.

what branch? I know I can look up e-mail addresses on army.mil but you need to be a memebr of the military or sponsored by a member to have .mil access. There is a site to go to through the Pentagon...or type in us military casualties in Iraq in a search. If your friend isn't on the list, then try looking up an e-mail address.

You may want to check with the U.S. government. Not exactly sure what dept., but that would be your best bet.
