How do you wear a wig that is shorter than your actual hair?

Do you bobby-pinin the hair to your head? Squish it down when it is wet? Use a hairnet? Hairspray? All of the above...?

And what is the best way to keep the wig from sliding off?

i've been in plays where i have to wear wigs that are shorter than my actual hair what i do is I use bobby pins to pin it up the put a wig cap on it makes it really easy to slip wigs on and off with out having to put your hair in buns or ponytails and getting weird bumps when you put your wig on.

You need to tuck your hair into a cap - they ones specially for wigs, but it may just be easier to find a swim cap.

You could just push it all up, or make a loose bun thing that you can put the wig over it without making it look like a bump.
