I have been right clicking to delete items, but how do I get the recycle bin back to dump the trash?
Thanks...I know it's probably something so simple!!!

You right click on the desktop, go to the bottom and click Personalize.
On the left hand side of the window that comes up click "Change Desktop Icons."
Then just check the Recycle Bin box and hit Ok.

you can restore your computer back to a time when you had it on your desktop

If I remember you may have to do something like
right click on desktop> properties> desktop >advanced or something and somewhere there should be a place where you can choose which icons will be displayed on desktop
