In 10 years, our air hot and choked with greenhouse gases, snowfall a thing of the past, Florida, New York City, and L.A. buried under the waves, hordes of panic driven refugees, drought, floods, violent storms having made sea crossings impossible, the spread of ruin and devastation. My question is since humanity will be doomed can we go ahead and run riot in the streets, all while pillaging and violently settling scores? In other words, can we have some fun?

Global warming is a slow process.It is slow death of Earth.In our life time it may not matter much.The future generations will suffer.According to Barton ,the world will die a heat death.If at some time in future, life on Earth will become impossible,the present space research,exploration of Moon,Mars etc gives us hope that in future mankind will be migrating to other planets/solar systems,where living conditions will be favourable.

Not all people are doomed and not all civilizations are doomed. In 100 years I think most of the industrialized countries (US, Japan, China) will exist pretty much as they are now. It's the tiny island countries and tiny coastal countries that are screwed.

I don't think global warming is happening. I think that it is just just normal fluctuations in the earths temperature and climate caused by a slight shifting of the earths axis, along with many other variables. Then, it is blown out of proportion by the news, and now everyone thinks the worlds going to burst into flames. This will all be blown over in at least a few decades.
