we don't in all probability have one - yet whilst each and every person is going to be around, we've a "sunday dinner" type meal... you be conscious of - issues like a pot roast, chicken, and so on. - there isn't something particular that we've on the meal. the only different custom may well be champagne on the hours of darkness (low value or in any different case) - and approximately 17 different beverages for the time of something of the night ;););););)

Black eyed peas with plenty of garlic and bacon,,,,and cabbage with ham and onions.....and cornbread....you got to have corn bread in the South. I also like a good cold glass of buttermilk or at least sweet milk with it. Now, that is a great way to start the New Year,,,,how lucky it is, I don't know,,but you are lucky if you can come to my house and eat it,,,,, : ) You are all invited....

In the south (US), we have collard greens and blackeyed peas. I usually make cornbread, too.

I live in the United States, but my ancestors come from Mexico,so I'll go with that. What we have on New Years Eve and New Years Day is Menudo! Great for a party and great for the day after hangover!

I live in Pennsylvania (US) and we will be having pork roast with sauerkraut and kielbasa, mashed potatoes, pork gravy, rolls. You have to have at least a bite of sauerkraut for good luck on New Years day!
