Drink large amounts of water (to help the laxative work) and lay down if needed. Gravity can make your entire core ache when your having issues with your bowel and laying down can sometimes help. Stay close to the potty, drink lots of water and you should feel better in a few hours.

If at any time you begin to feel worse and your pain level increases you should call your doctors office and page your doctor or the nurse on call.
