i just met this guy today and my friend knows him since they were in the 7th grade. & he told her he liked me and i liked him too. he's a little younger than me, but were both 14. he asked me out today and i said yes! we have been texting each other to get to know each other. is this normal? to start a relationship with someone with only knowing them for one day or a few hours actually..hehe. oh and plz dont say im too young! i dont need your lecture. im old enough and i have had boyfriends before my mom is completely ok with me having a boyfriend so dont even go there. thanks.

You really can't get to know people over the Internet. With your parents permission of course, go on a date. Then you can talk with the person. Think of some questions before hand to throw them off to see what kind of person your really dealing with. To be safe I would double date with a friend of yours the first couple of times, and or a parent

Yes it is normal for a 14 year old.Now if you were 24 that would be a different story!

Well that happened to me when i was 12, my friends knew this guy and so we only talked on im but then he asked me out and i said yes. In my opinion, i wouldn't do that because its awkward since you only know a little bit bout each other. So i would want to be friends first before actually becoming more, but yes you are normal, and hey it might just work out. Good luck.
Happy new years eve!

ok I know you've probably heard this before but just incase you forgot..... ever thought of being friends first then getting into the relationship? I mean time to getting to know a person is valuable and all, you wouldn't want to be in an arranged marraged so why do something similar to it? I've done what you've done, got right into the relationship before I even got to know the person, it's not such a great idea, Much luck to you and your bf/.

It's not like you're immediately "boyfriend-girlfriend" title yet, I hope, since you guys don't really know each other. But yea, it's cool for you guys to be texting each other, I don't see why it wouldn't be, as long as you have unlimited text.

Just to throw this out there- if you've had boyfriends before, why don't you know if this is normal or not?
