I weighed myself today and have gained 15 lbs in 2.5 months... That was the final straw---- rediculous!! I know its from stress and eating on the go and I ammaking my new years resolution to be healthy and I am going to do it!! I ordered the turbo jam maximum results, and bought the alli starter pack... Now, I plan on walking my dog for 30 minutes three times a week, and doing the turbo jam at least twice a week...
I'm thinking that is a great start but the food is what screws me over.. Is this good?
For Breakfast---
An orange and a sugar free carnation instant breakfast for the calcium or a bowl of special k w/ skim milk and an orange
Snack-??
Lunch-Turkey sub and what? I have to keep my fat intake at >15g a meal
Snack?
Dinner- Soup or what?

Also, I work at a smoothie shop and we sell fresh smoothies... Would it be okay to get a smoothie as one of my snacks at 200-300 calories or is that just too much?

Sounds like a step in the right direction. Rather than have a smoothie, how about eating some of the fruit that goes into them....i.e. something like blueberries or something that is fresh and does not come packed in sugar. For the turkey sub, leave off cheese and mayo and for dinner, how about chicken breast and a salad? You can't starve yourself. You need to give your body enough food to run on. If you wanna be healthier you need to exercise and eat healthy so lets sea what you've been eating 1- (Water throughout the day) good for you 2- Breakfast- Almonds, granola, oats, 1 cup low fat yoghurt with grated apple, strawberries and a banana * almonds are healthy as long as you don't eat too much of them .. a serving is a handful of almonds * granola and oats .. you need to check the amount of fiber and sugar they contain + be careful with the quantity * low fat foods are not good .. they are processed food .. it is true that they contain less fat but when the fat is removed other ingredients are added to give similar taste and texture to the full fat ones. * as much as I know, you shouldn't eat fruits with meals as the enzymes that are needed to digest them are different than the enzymes that digest other types of food .. so eat them before or after meals 3- Lunch- a salad with spinach, romain lettuce, carrots, cucumber, low fat canned tuna with a little olive oil, lemon, almonds and brown rice * be careful with the amounts * the same with the low fat tuna * brown rice is good because it makes you feel full and it takes time to digest so you won't feel hungry as quick as you would feel if you ate white rice + it contains many healthy nutrients .. be careful with the quantity 4- carrots throughout the day quantity quantity quantity .. there are calories in carrots as well 5- Snack- small low fat yogurt with granola, oats and almonds * snacks shouldn't contain as much calories! 6- Dinner- chicken and brown rice With vegetables good as long as you don't eat too much 7- Dessert- 1 baked apple with granola and almonds QUANTITY you need to read articles about health to get some knowledge .. thats how I became healthier ;)

Fruits and vegetables are your best bet. Don't eat fast food or soda. Stop eating when you're full. Just because its healthy food doesn't mean you should eat more. Yogurt, granola bars, or a piece of fruit is a great snack. Smoothies are good as long as they don't have added sugar or ice cream.

i think what you are planing to do is ok but the smoothie i think has to many cals. there are other smoothies that have less that you can make yourself. I would make those instead of having the ones at your job. Just be careful with your food choices. Wish you the best of luck. i also think that is a great New Years resolution. Have a great New Years.

all you need to do is eat salads for the first 2 weeks, do your turbo jam, go for a 30 min. walk every morning and try not to have smoothies because believe it or not they are loaded with lots of calories and sugar!!

If you just cut out the fast food, that will stop you from gaining a lot of weight. But, what you're doing is good, too. I think just people looking at what they eat helps them cut down. Good luck and happy new year!
