Any suggestions? Do I need something special to extract the files once I download them? I'm pretty much computer inept, so plz include detail. THX soooo much!

GIMP is free (both as in free speech and free beer) and works with macs.

That would be Adobe.com and get the demo version if you just want to trial them.
You will need Stuffit if you don't have it already.
