I am working in my home studio. At midnight I'm going to take a few minutes, but on a Gershwin CD, and dance with my husband to "Our Love is Here to Stay". And then I'll probably go back to work.
Happy New Year to you as well! :-)

I am celebrating it with anticipation, and a positive outlook. This past year brought some feelings of worry and frets, but thank the Lord, He showed once again, that He is in control. I guess we need to realize how frail, and at times, that we can't control circumstance or situations. I beleive God wants us to do what we can, and let Him do what we can't. I wrote a small poem yesterday, and I would like you to read it. I hope it will bless your heart.
What is my religion? That would take some time to describe. So I will give a small amount of detail and some scripture. I belong to "The Church of Jesus Christ" (NON-MORMON) I am not associated with pentecost, or apostolic. Since Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, and we are His body, then it only makes since, to use His name. Since you no doubt, have a head, and that head has a name, than the rest of your body is going to have that same name.
A New Years Wish To You 12/31/07
As I think of the old year gone, we have a lot to be thankful for. One more year the Lord has brought us through, He has open another door. He has given us to ponder, not us, but He has paved the way. When it seems like all is lost, He is saying it will be okay.
Just like it has been the year before, there are days that seem so gray. And once again, He reminds us, there is waiting a better day. We all need to remember, it is not us, but Him. God's plan will work in you and me, if our eyes will not grow dim.
The vision that we started with, is just as bright as then. We just have to remind ourselves, then stand back up again. God started us on a journey, to do a work for Him. There is nothing that can stop us, with the work that He begin.
So as this year comes to a close, a new year will unfold. And with the hope He has given us, and the promises He told. I will never leave you, or ever let you go. That the work, that I begin in you, I promise to make it so.

My husband and a friend of ours and I went out to dinner in Berkeley and had the MOST delicious dinner! I had grilled sea bass, my husband had a huge dungeness crab cake, and our friend had rack of lamb. Plus spectacular appetizers of lobster in a marscapone biscuit, baby green salad with fig and goat cheese, baby artichoke soup with shaved Parmesan, and for dessert, warm apple pie, and a dense chocolate pudding/cake with dark vanilla ice cream..... I think I gained 5 pounds but man was it gooooooood.
For me, New Years was 10 days ago, when the Winter Solstice happened, and our days started getting longer in the Northern Hemisphere. I go by the solar system's year! I am a scientific pantheist. It is now 11:23 pm, and my husband has long since conked out for the night, so I am awaiting the strike of midnight with my son, watching Beneath the Planet of the Apes. Good grief, does that take me back!
For you and for all, Happy New Year!
Blessings,

Drinking some distilled water, looking through R&S questions, seeing what is stimulus for my great responses, what is worthy of me.
hahah Just joking about the ego stuff, but not the distilled water, drinking a huge cup of it as I type. Since I am Gnostic, well mostly a Ebionite Nazirene (walker in Yeshua's The Way... Nazirene means "keeper of TheWay" and Ebionite means "Poor one") I don't celebrate the New Years in regards the solar calendar. I pretty much don't celebrate any holidays, nor do I drink and all that. So yeah just spending a quiet time at home in front of my computer. Pretty boring for a +20 something male.. I know I know, but I am passerby!

Just me, the cats, and the computer. Going to bed, finish one book and start another. 26 F. outside tonight, and the police have their hands full. Local police are VERY alert, sure hope the roads don't get icy! Oh my beliefs-a jumble. Agnostic with Christian-pantheist added to the mix. A bit of Buddhism too. Happy New Year to you and my calico cat Anna just wished it to you as well. Sometimes out of the clear blue she TALKS to me. (yes I'm sober)

I drank an entire bottle of Martinelli's sparkling cider by myself (that stuff is good, like fizzy apple juice), and I'm watching MI III for the umpteenth time. I doubt I'll make it to midnight though, it's not even 9:30pm and I'm tired!

Hello, I am reflective, it is New Years Day here in NZ, and I am alone, no pets, happy, free, have enjoyed a New Years Day movie of my choice. A DVD I had, may have watched before, but so interesting, a story set in USA 1911, The Last of the Tribe, an indian found and brought into the town, to live, and be "studied". I looked at the setting, the car, the train, the people, the relatedness, the hospital, postal service, and was amazed that this was less than 100 yrs ago. So different, is it evolution?, progress?, mmm I will reflect a wee bit more.
I have no religion. I believe in cause, effect, a higher power moving through all-that-is, the need to move into consciousness, intuition, the knowing beyond, "God", in a myriad of "ways".
Namaste
Bright blessings to all, and may all reveal the peace that passeth all understanding within..

Dogs are the best company. Mine like margaritas. I don't know if they would like the bubbly or not. Sadly, since taking accutane steroid, I have become allergic to many things, alcohol being one of them. So, to ease my aches and pains, physical and mental, and to celebrate, I smoke mine. A little xanax for the anxiety and poof, I'm good.
Happy New Year!

You're looking at it.
My life was uprooted this year, I had to move north to care for elderly parent, single again, but my cat & I will be okay.
Atheist, couldn't possibly believe in a deity that created so much suffering.
