need cable with Bi-directional 2 male RCA plugs to 3.5mm or s-video male or std 15 pin video plug to play VHS tapes on laptop. What plug do I need?

Radio Shack has all the cables you need, in stock and fairly cheap. I haven't seen a laptop that will allow you to record composite video though. (the kind of video your VCR puts out)

Be sure you have that capability before investing in cables. If you don't, there may be a PCM/CIA card out there that will do the trick. I've not seen one of those either though.

youll need video in capabilities on your laptop first then the cable should be easy to find.
