If you're meaning a short tube of skin outside of the piercing that covers part of the barbell, then the original fistula from the first piercing was pushed out during the second piercing.
Most often, when this happens, the skin dies and falls off. You can do a few things. Some take longer to heal than others, but are less expensive. You can pull the piece off yourself - yes, it'll bleed a bit, but it will finally start healing correctly after that. You can go to your piercer and have them cut it off (usually a couple of bucks IF they do it at your particular piercing shop). It will heal a little faster and scar a little less (although you will have a scar anyway because of the piercing through existing scar tissue). You can also pull the jewelry out and go to the doctor and have them cut it off. Again, it will heal a little faster, but you'd lose the piercing, too.
In keeping the jewelry, because it's still having problems, continue to do your aftercare routine (should involve 5-10 minute sea salt soaks twice a day) to help heal the tissue quickly without killing off skin cells.

It takes a 6 to eight weeks for it to heal, yet dont take the piercing out for prolonged classes of time because of the fact the hollow will close in case you havent had it for a 300 and sixty 5 days. I nevertheless leave it in many the time so the hollow continues to be there and doesnt strengthen at the same time. i offered H2ocean and sprayed that on my piercing and moved the piercing around approximately thrice an afternoon and washed it with fragrance unfastened cleansing soap as quickly as I took a tub. Wash your hands in the previous you touch it, and pass it around alot, so the bar doesnt get caught to the scar tissue that's forming. it could injury like a ***** if it does and once you pull it out, it has to heal another time.

please stop picking on this poor person about the body piercings. I am from illinois, farm country, and we have alway done body pircing to ears, noses, belly buttons, etc. We love to do it. Thats always the best way to keep our livestock from wallowing in the mud.

you might have an infection. keep cleaning it properly and it will be ok. I have had mine done for like 4 years and skin still heals over it very slightly its because your body is trying to heal itself but obviously the barbel is in the way lol. Dont worry about it, just make sure you keep it clean and free from infection

ok well i had the same problem but this is my third time getting it pierced and it did that all the time. It might have a slight infection (which i had) or it just might have a scabb that keeps being opened and bleeding on it. So i would ask a doctor because it could go either way. It could be nothing....but unfortunatly it could be more serious than that. Good luck though!

When will that stop being cool? My 16 year old was dealing with that for two years before she gave it up. It was a constant problem with infection and other rejection reactions.
