smoking only increases your metabolism enough to burn the equivalent of a chips ahoy cookie. take a look around...there are plenty of extra large smokers. don't try and use cigarettes to lose weight...it won't work.

Smoking and inhaling one cigarette will burn 20 calories due to increased heart rate. Smoking an average of a pack a day will burn 400 calories a day.

I think by smoking it is the equivalent of taking a high performance sports car and tossing in a hand full of rubbish into the fuel tank. Does this increase its performance?

increase but its so bad for you, ull end up wanting to stop but cant and when you do, u gain alot! because you go through tobacco withdrawal and substitute lollypops for cigs.
