Harry Potter Magic is parlour tricks and Hollywood... Real magick is all around you, do you feel it, do you know how to harness it ???...No probably not, I am a Witch of 37 years, and find the reference to magick in here daily is proof that most people believe in it in one way or another..Magick is a manipulation of energy to bring about a desired result.. We work with the Elements and the Universe (which is Nature) to achieve our goal /s..Anybody who brings Satan or Devils into this are either delusional, uneducated, religious nuts, ignorant to the 4th power, serial idiots or just plain sh!t stirrers... Magick has been with us since the dawn of time, men and their false Gods and religions forced it to become something that the Devil created... Except they created the Devil, in theory only.. I will back the power of Magick , true Magick against false religion any day of the week... The fact that more people are turning away from the Church, and finding themselves in the ancient, peaceful nature based religions is proof that the brainwashing of 2,000 years no longer works on the more Spiritually evolved people...The Churches of the world know this and will do anything to keep their position stable... Bye Bye Pope, and your minions and the rest of, whatever you call yourself, Priest, Padre, Minister, etc... We have had enough of you double standards and your lies..We are almost in the "Shift"... Then you will grasp some of the perception as to what magick really is...
And it harm none, do what ye will...
Love and Light.. Blessed Be ... )O(

I believe in esoteric/occult magic. And I believe, but can't prove that it has an existence outside of the realms of psychology. ie I feel spells don't need the recipient to believe in the existence of magic, only that the caster believes it'll work. If you say otherwise explain how weather magic, and other spells which affect that which are normally perceived to be "inanimate systems" work? Statement saying the recipient has to believe as well as the caster, would mean that the weather has to believe in magic! Think a hard distinction between magic being described as white or black misses a lot out. As I feel magic is only a tool, and therefore doesn't have any intrinsic alignment. A blade can be put to a good use (surgery), but it can also be put to a bad use (stabbing someone) It's only the intent/effects of it's use that could be determined to be black or white. Even then the terms black/white are increasingly being seen as non-PC, and are often replaced with the terms negative and positive. --- A lot of what Wheatly talks about is simply a pile of "headline grabbing" rubbish tying into peoples preconceived ideas. Perhaps try to see the 1971 film "Simon King of The Witches" (even though the magic shown is largely the rarely practised mesmerism) Also perhaps try to see Haxan (1922) for a purely physiological explanation (which is also the model which Freud developed which reconed Multiple Sclerosis is physco-somatic, with no physical basis! We know better now)

There are many concepts dealt with the word "Magic" - and some have very strong emotions attached to it. So here definitions are important.
Stage magic covers a lot of things - including Religious Charlatans.
Spiritual Magic, in all honestly is like any other form of faith. It's the faith that is important not the mechanism in which it is preformed.

Magic exists but not is the ways that you expect. Real magic is subtle and does not require chanting or candles. Real magic comes softly in a prayer to protect your family or in the gift of seeing someone special. Sorry to dissapoint.

No, I do not believe in magic...at least not done by man alone without demonic help.....I believe there are some who are skilled in the art of illusion. They can make it appear as thought they can perform magic.

I believe in magick, but I have not been using it long enough to be successful at it. Plus sometimes it is hard to know if the working was successful if the working was meant to prevent something from happening. Why? I believe in energy and that by manipulating it, we can direct it to a task.

I believe that there are things that science has yet to explain. I believe that some people are capable of doing things that seem magic but just need time to be explained. The explaination can be anything from ESP actually being real or a chemical concoction that we haven't understood yet.
I do believe in miracles that are outside the realm of science so you could also say that I believe in white magic. I do not believe in dark magic. Satan has no real power to share with us.

It depends on what you call magic.
The "commercial" one, the one people do in shows to earn money- No.
The "secret" one, used to cause harm to others- Yes.
People who rely on the demons for protection and not God easily get attacked by the second type.
No, I'm not into magic.
