okay They are both gorgeous rings and it doesn't matter whether WE like it. All that matters is whether you like it.

The first one. Don't like the square cut diamonds, though I prefer the solitaire with shoulder stones setting.
The first one would be a wedding band; the second is an engagement ring.

An engagement ring does not need to always be solitaire type design, it should mean something special and reflect your taste.
