I think, this question would best answered in Geography or Earth Science sections. You must have heard that continents on the earth are not fixed at their present locations. They are shifting their positions and orientations continuously. In future Asia and Europe may be separated, North and South America may be separated. In the past Europe-Africa and America were adjacent and unique land. I hope, from this phenomenon you might have got your answer.

If the world has not changed much in the comparatively short time man has been on the earth...about 8,000 years. [ i await the howls of protest] then the only answer is by boat.

The bible gives us the story of Noah and his sons and families.
