It depends on what you mean by "end". Humanity could go extinct, whether from pollution, radation, starvation, global warming or an ice age, and the Earth would blythely continue to exist. The only hazard would be from other clestial bodies. For example, the sun is expected to exhaust all of its hydrogen in about 5 billion years, which will probably cause it to expand into a red giant larger than Earth's orbit. That would probably count as the "end" of Earth. But by then, we may have gone on to better things.

I believe the Bible says only God, the Father, knows when this current age will come to an end.

Any man ( or Angel ) who tries to predict it is therefore nothing but wrong. People can - if my memory is correct - read the signs of the times though. They can know the time is getting near. But, they can never know exactly when.

The world will NOT end.
It is wicked people who will be removed from the world.
(PSALM 37:9) For evildoers themselves will be cut off, But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth.

(PSALM 37:11) But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.

(PSALM 37:29) The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.

(PSALM 37:34) Hope in Jehovah and keep his way, And he will exalt you to take possession of the earth. When the wicked ones are cut off, you will see [it].

A house owner who has bad tenants will throw them out...NOT burn down the house.

God owns the 'house' of the earth.

(PSALM 72:16) There will come to be plenty of grain on the earth; On the top of the mountains there will be an overflow. His fruit will be as in Leb′a·non, And those who are from the city will blossom like the vegetation of the earth.

While there is starvation on the earth, this scripture has not been fulfilled.

(ISAIAH 45:18) For this is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the [true] God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited: “I am Jehovah, and there is no one else.

combine this with Psalm 37;49...
FOREVER...

The sun will destroy the Earth in 4-5 billion years, but that is not our major problem. Scientists have solid evidence that the majority of life on Earth has been destroyed at least twice by extra-terrestrial objects (large comets and meteorites). We currently have the capability to constantly scan about 3% of our sky for these objects. The closer these objects are, the easier it is to determine their tragectory (gravitational pull of our solar system and objects within it effect them). Basically, this means that we know that a comet or meteorite will kill us off in the future, but we don't know if that will be next month or 65 million years from now.

The Bible says no man knows the day or the hour, but Isaac Newton, while on his deathbed, gave an estimate of 2040. Through the final weeks before his death, he had used mathematical equations to come to this conclusion

Last I heard it will be in about 4.5 billion years when the sun becomes a red giant and earth will be frazzled to a crisp.

So it looks like we're all going to hell after all.

In 5-6 billion years the Sun will go red giant and probably engulf the Earth.

But you need to define what you mean by end. The Sun will get 10% hotter every billion years till then. That will boil off the water in about 2-3 billion years. So that just might be it.

Science has nothing to do about when God destroys the wicked world of mankind (not the planet or animals)

(Genesis 8:21-22) . . .Never again shall I call down evil upon the ground on man’s account, because the inclination of the heart of man is bad from his youth up; and never again shall I deal every living thing a blow just as I have done. 22. . .

Scientists generally aren't in the business of making end-times prophecies.

However, the sun will probably expand and destroy Earth in 5 billion years. Hopefully by then we'll have figured out how to colonize other solar systems.

Scientests (sic) don't make any predictions as to the date of the end of the world.

They do, however, suggest possible fates, and suggest possible time frames.
