I made mac and cheese (elbow mac, cream, milk, butter, and cheese) and I had some extra. Its uncooked, and in a dish in a cold fridge since Tuesday, Christmas day. It doesn't smell or look spoiled, but I'm afraid to put it in the oven and cook it. What's the code here? THANKS!!

The earliest this could be served would be tomorrow, Jan 1st/08. It may well be fine and if it had been cooked on Christmas day and leftovers frozen I would say great. Under the circumstances tomorrow will the the 8th day and I wouldn't use it. The cooked pasta sitting in the milk will be mush or will turn to mush when you cook it.

Rule of thumb, if in doubt throw it out.

Happy New Year

you are able to marinate as much as an afternoon. a pair of days, you *probable* won't fall unwell (i've got had it take place earlier and that i by no capacity have been given unwell) yet interior the destiny, if that is been marinating interior the refrigerator for greater advantageous than an afternoon you are able to probable throw it out and purely marinate new hen for some hours.

dishes with cream or milk should be eaten the next day after being made as they spoil quickly. Do not freeze any dishes with cream as it unthaws it will sour and go off. Eat meat dishes within 3 days and uncooked fresh chicken within 2 days. Once unfrozen do not re freeze chicken or meat.

Personally, because it passed the sniff test, I would probably cook it and taste it.

But I wouldn't rely on it being good; I'd have a back-up plan, just in case. (Something quick and easy.)

Your nose knows. If it doesn't smell and it doesn't have any old it should be good. A week in the frig should be alright.

throw it out. It's to scary to use after 5 days maximum. Food poisoning is no joke.
