I have been hanging out with this guys who is hard to read. nervous, stares, gravitates to me...?

however this guys has blown me off (he has a tendency to do that to people) not return an invitation to a guy friends surprise party. He sometimes looks right through me or tries to talk to only other people in the group. He doesn't seem to have a problem talking to other girls..what's wrong with me?! He wil come over and talk to me in person, stare, etc. However, I feel like he is afraid of me or something. He sometimes looks at me like I'm crazy and just doesn't say anything. Sometimes he's comfortable touching me...other times he seems very uncomfortable. I don't understand! does he like me? hate me? or not even care?
