again I'm 21 NOT 2 I understand stuff about money why do you think I'm still living at home? I just think it's unfair that she'll have a won't have anything IF my cat dies

When I was ten I used to 'borrow' a neighbours dog to take out for hours of walk n' play because my parents wouldn't get one and my neighbours didn't bother to walk their dogs.
I relate to your story and think that you could start to take up a real interest in dogs, their welfare and habits etc and make that slowly noticeable to the family.
Slowly they will see that you really have a love of dogs and they will think more about it over time, even if it doesn't happen soon.
Bring that Tim Allen movie home to watch 'Shaggy Dog' or something it's called and it is a great family movie.
'Good Boy' is another favourite of mine too.
Keep your doggone efforts up and who knows your Mom might stop barking and woof her consent soon!

You are 21 not 2, so i think you can make your own decisions, but remember vet bills are expensive... cats need immunizations, wormed, flea treatment and sometimes they get ill.
Your 10 year old cat could live another 5-10 years, depending upon its health today.
take care, and maybe when you move out on your own, you can have as many animals as you like?

Your cat has at least another 5 to 10 years before the cat dies....
I had a cat that lived until she was 22.....
You have a was to go before she dies....
