Yeah, I didn't know how to word that. But anyways, I see people answering people saying stuff like, "God loves you. Trust in God." Stuff like that. Then there's people who say "there is no God, so _____." Why don't people say, "I think." Not everyone has the same beliefs as you, and you shouldn't respond to people with certainty in a faith that YOU have. You can have certainty to yourself, and be really positive about what you believe in, but you don't need to make it seem like you're faith is THE faith, even if it is in your mind. Just respect peoples opinions.

I don't mean you have to say specifically, "I think." But something like it.

I know opinion sounded weird, but I already said the words faith and belief a few times, so I wanted a new word. Stop analyzing every word, just understand the what I'm trying to say. It was hard trying to word my opinion.

its quite a divide between the two on here isn't it?
i imagine people are so positive because it is their faith.
the whole way they look at the world.
and, were you to doubt even your strongest convictions
or allow room for doubt
you'd quite soon lose your mind.
so people are vehement about their beliefs.
that and this is yahoo answeres.
everyone "knows" they, and only they, are right.

I can't disprove God, but I can logically prove that God is malevolent

I don't say "I think" because it is untrue.
I KNOW there is no god. If there was a god, measurable evidence would have been found by this time.
It's all fantasy and fairytales.

It is a matter of conviction, not logical reasoned conclusion.
It isn't a thinking process, either way; it's more than opinion.
Religious faith is based on personal experience.

i agree with you so much!!! there would be less problems if people said that it's their opinion!!!
too many people look at something and automatically say "oh, that's wrong" or whatever. if they knew it was an opinion, they wouldn't be able to say it's wrong because everyone's entitled to their own opinion!!!!
sorry if that was confusing!!!

Nobody is completely positive that God does or does not exist.
But honestly, it's just belief, and if somebody says "God love you." and you don't believe in Him, just disregard it.
I agree, respect peoples religions, but by that I mean don't try to force religion upon someone.
Learn to accept that others don't believe the same as you but don't let that change the way you speak..
If that made any sense.

Faith in God, believing there is a God and that He loves us, is not an "opinion." Opinions may or may not be based on facts. They should be but they don't have to be. Faith is based on evidence, experience and trust. Believers do not "think" there is God, they believe it. That is an entirely different thing. By stating something as I sincerely believe it to be is not being disrespectful to others opinions, it is simply being honest.
You may disagree and I respect that. And in your disagreeing you are not disrespecting me either, or you should not.

There is no need to preface everything you say with "I think". Obviously, if you are saying it, it is what you think.

The ' I think ' is implicit in the question. Nobody can be certain of the existence or non existence of god. Anybody who says that they KNOW god exists or not is a liar
