I love all dogs, I love cats too but I'm HIGHLY allergic so I can't have one. I would say MY favorite breeds of dogs are a Bichon Frise and a Shih Tzu(I have both) my Bichon is four and my Shih Tzu is one they are so sweet, smart and lovable, I was NOT a little dog person until we got our Bichon. But that's just my opinion, there really is NO wrong answer right, lol.

I'm not a big cat fan, but my hubby had a white, fluffy cat with a smooshed up face when we met. I don't know the breed, but he was pretty neat.

My favorite dog breed is the shetland sheepdog, or sheltie. The herding class is my favorite overall for their loyalty and agility. The sheltie is a wonderful family pet. I've had four over the past 20 years, but only have one at the moment. He's very dominant and doesn't do well with other pets in the house. So when my last sheltie passed, I decided not to get another until my boy passes. He's 10, so I hope he'll be around for a few more years.

I'll start with my fav cat, I love siamese cuz they have a really specific and original personality. Very human in ways but not for everyone , they are not the type to cuddle up with just everyone in my experiences. My 15yr old niece has one named Lastat and he likes to sit on my lap and purr but sometimes he gets a bit crabby when he doesn't want to be around you. A friend had one named Pussin' who was a lot like Lastat but was so strange, he would go to the door to go potty, he preferred this over the litter box and refused to come to "kitty, kitty" think he thought he was a dog! If I would ever have a cat indoors (we have several barn cats out with the horses) I would absolutely get a siamese.

My fav breed of dog is a tough one but if I have to decide it's Rottweiler. I grew up with many Dalmations and love them too but Rotties are so much bigger and cuddlier. They are hyper sometimes like Dalmations but not 24hrs a day. My 125lb Rottie "Bear" is the sweetest most loyal and loving (big) baby. He loves "giving my husband heck" by moaning and talking when my husband has my attention instead of Bear. We rescued him from a home where he was kept in a small St. Paul, MN apartment in a crate all day only getting out for two short walks a day. They kept him locked up cuz the guys girlfriend was afraid of him and she couldn't let her ferrets out without bear wanting to "chase" them around. He loves living on 10acres with us now that his only bounderies are the property lines. He loves other dogs and will only run after any of the cats if they run, otherwise it's the cutest thing when the cats rub up against him and he gives them kisses or a bath! In the summer he will lay out in the yard for hours with his fav cat Tubby sunning together. He enjoys kids of all ages but we do have to be careful that he doesn't knock anyone over or sit on them, he deffinately thinks he's a lap dog! I think he is smart cuz he knows I play with him in a different way than my hubby does. He and I usually cuddle and play fetch or a light game of tug-o-war where he and hubby like to chase each other around the house and play rougher tug-o-war. He loves to lay on our huge corner couch between us and lick one of our hands while we watch a movie. I never want to go anywhere without him but often times have to since he's so big and people seem to be so intimidated by him. I say if you have the time and the room for a large breed you will never be sorry to have one, if not a smaller low hyper dog is best.

Thanks for the fun and uplifting question, I always enjoy bragging about my Bear!

My favorite breed of dog is the American Pit Bull Terrier. They're so loyal, love to please, and people oriented. They're so misunderstood and don't deserve the reputation they have. Yes, they have the potential to be aggressive, but so does any other dog. When given the chance, APBTs can blossom into the most wonderful family dogs. I do not have the privilege of owning one of these great dogs yet, but someday, I hope to.

My favorite breeds of cat are probably the Maine Coon and Scottish Fold. Maine Coon cats are just so beautiful and intelligent. I love the different look of Scottish Folds. They're just so darn cute with their little ears. Some people may say they look ugly because they're different from most cats you see, but I think they're beautiful. I do not own these cats, but I'd love to one day.
