I, like so many people, am getting sick of the selective coloring and sharpening questions. So, to make everyone's life easier, I made these. What do you think? Should I add anything?

Selective Coloring (using photoshop, since that is the only program I use):

I'll be editing them as people leave comments. I added some more details in the sharpening one. The main point in that one is that no matter how sharp you try to get them, the result will never be good. It is always better to get the object in focus in the camera first.

perki88, it is worth a try. I'll just use them for my answers. It will be easier than typing the same thing over and over again.

Cool, we'll all leave the answers to these questions to you - what a relief and a wonderful way to start '08.

One Color:
The first instruction with any photo editing should be to "Save As" to a new file to preserve the original.

Sharpening:
Start with an image that was blurry to begin with, not one that you forced to be blurry, there are those who will think you're just showing the original sharp image in your last shot.

Thanks!

Well I think it's really nice of you to go to this effort. It looks great to me.

You get an A for patience !

I don't have your patience, so I'll continue to either bypass them or do silly cut and pastes from my buddies' answers.

I get annoyed with askers being lazy and not taking the time to read the previous answers that pop up when they write the question.

:o)

Hey I didn't copy you Perki !! I've been doing that a bit lately
(insert twilight zone music here).

It hasn't worked for Dr Sam, doubt if it will work for you....they will still ask and ask and ask!

PS - You get an A for effort then! I just use cut and paste!LOL!

need to be more informative. You say sharpen like people know what you are talking about. Try giving a step by step to reach the sharpening controls, then talk about which sharpening tool you used. Thanks for trying, its appreciated.

I applaud your effort. Unfortunately, I doubt anyone who asks about these subjects in the future will actually use them. Its obvious that they never look at what pops up when they start to ask the same question that's been asked 1,001 times previously.
