Take her to a vet, Amongst other things, it could be a pyometra, which can be fatal and painful. If it is you need veterinary help ASAP

Unless this is something odd then no she should be past menopause. By the time they are six or seven years and never had pups then they quit thier heat cycle. If they had been breed regular then they may still have one. I would get her vet checked and had breed dogs for 13years. It is well worth the peace of mind. Keep her away from other in cae it is because it would not be good for her to breed. Pets are not good breeders even at young ages. Watch her and look for anthing else strange but get vet checked at a good convience. better to be safe than sorry.

Dogs don't go thru menopause. They will and can have a heat cycle their entire life. My guess would be, at 12 years of age, your dog may have a uterine infection. You should have her examined by your veterinarian. Uterine infections can be deadly to your dog if not taken care of ASAP.
Good luck

The best thing to do is to take your dog to the vet to be checked she could have an infection.

Why didn't you spay her?...way to make your dog unhappy and miserable! Shame on you....TAKE her to the vet, you never know there might be something seriously wrong with her, it could be more then just a heat session.
