ok so when i set my camera to the bulb mode and i press the shutter button and hold it, i can't see anything through the screen. is this normal?? or is there something I'm doing wrong or is there something wrong with my camera?? Anyone who can help, i really need it!! thanks in advance!

it's perfectly normal, the mirror flips up out of the way to capture the image and then the mirror flips back down when the photo is finish taken. otherwise the mirror blocks the view of what you are taking a photo, then the mirror flips back down after the shutter is released.

You can't see anything because the mirror has flipped up to let the light hit the film (or sensor).

It will flip down again when you release the button.
