my mother in law makes me wana drink, everything has to be done her way, and be perfect, what do i do?

But seriously, your husband has to step up and defend you and make it clear that he is happy with your decision and methods.
And you can compromise and do some things her way but pick your battles and do the important stuff your way.

Buck her self proclaimed authority a couple times. Override her barked orders, look her in the eye matter of factly and say No I think Id rater do it this way and do it like you want too . No need for words or alcohol, your actions will speak loud and clear! She will eventually stop trying to rule your roost!
