I have 2 yorkies and sometimes they do this and kinda whimper...I really don't know what it is--I wake them and hold them--then they are ok. Maybe bad dreams?

1. A 6 week old dog should still be with her mother/litter for at least 2 more weeks.

2. She's probably dreaming or something. No need to worry.

Wow 6 weeks and away from her mother already? It is probably a normal reaction from being away from her littermates. Be sure to have her completely checked out by a vet.

She is barking in her sleep with her mouth closed.

My dog used to do this all the time.

She is just dreaming!

Well if she's only six weeks maybe she's still learing how to breath on her own.

That's her heart beating rapidly in response to her little puppy dreams. She's dreaming she's chasing rabbits or something, and the adrenaline gets her heart racing. No biggie. Let the poor dog sleep now, ok?! :-)

it's her heart most likely, if you are so freaked out about it take her to the vet but I guarantee you it's her heart.
