I trapped a kitten Sunday and it will get fixed on Wed. AM. It is scared and not eating or drinking, or using bathroom. What can I do? Will it still be wild afterwards? Any advise appreciated. Thank you.

Will it be ok with not eating from sunday until wed. Will it still be wild because it lives in the woods near my house. That would be best.

It is in a spare bedroom waiting for surgery.

It is not sick it is just scarred and doesn't want to be caught. It hasn't eaten chicken or canned . I put 2 bowls of water and 2 food places. Maybe it will eat tonight. I put dry treats in 2 places. It is hiding under the bed and meows once in a while. If I let it go I won't be able to catch it again and we are getting a freeze for 2 days. I sit with it and it is not jumping or running away. It is mad.

well its probably sick or scared. try hand feeding or handling it more so that it will fell comfortable enough to eat. But most likely it is sick or need a bottle.

Try baked chicken, Kentucky Fried Chicken (no bones or skin, just the meat, they can't seem to resist that) or sliding in a can of drained tuna (water packed tuna, not oil packed). Those three things generally are accepted even by scared cats.

the vet will know. perhaps it has worms or tape worms. try a can of tuna my kitty will eat tuna at times when she refuses all else. you may try a syringe and feed it water at least.

try canned food or tuna..............even in the worst situations, i find that most cats can't resist the good stuff.............

First, thank you for helping control the overpopulation of pets! YAY!!!!

Has it been checked by a vet? It's likely sick. It's possible that it's just stress. Have you tried canned food? Some cats can't resist that. Another option that vets commonly use in cats that won't eat is chicken or beef flavored baby food. Nearly all cats will eat it if they're just being stubborn or are stressed. Wet food also has some moisture in it, which is important if the cat isn't drinking.

It's hard to say if it will be wild afterwards. You don't mention what you're doing to socialize it. You don't say if you plan to re-release it or if you plan to keep it inside.

Look up a ER Vet in the phone book and call them.
